Water is the origin of the life.
Water constitutes a wide part of the human beings: there is about 85% of water in plants and animals according to the species respectively and about 60% in a human body. For all the species, water is the element which allows eliminating waste from the organism.

Food brings partially the water necessary for humans (1liter/day) and drinks complete the recommended amount of water per day (1.5 L/day).
The water resources are vitally important for our nature and mankind in general. Because nature has a regulating and purifying role for water resources, it contributes to the improvement of water quality as well as its replenishment.
Water is a natural good and a scarce resource to be protected.

A water molecule is composed by three atoms: 2 of hydrogen and 1 of oxygen. The molecule’s chemical symbol is H20.

Water can take diverse forms on Earth: liquid; solid (ice) or gas (steam). Although our planet is covered with water on 70%, only 1% of this water is available for humankind because the main part of this water is salted.
The urbanisation and the industrialisation have damaged the quality of rivers and lakes. This phenomenon was accentuated since the 70’s with the increase of human and industrial wastes.
Consequently surface waters and ground waters might be unusable for the next population´s needs and ecosystems.

The decrease of water resources around the world is ineluctable and it is essential to take strong measures concerning the water preservation.
In all of our daily acts it is possible to save water.

The government became aware of it and organized a nationwide campaign of informing the public.

Moreover, effective measures such as a responsible behaviour with water consumption as well as the reduction of polluting products used in agriculture can stop the water resources disappear and the ecosystem’s disruption.
